Fuji High Radiofrequency Preheaters

Fuji High Radiofrequency (RF) Preheaters are industrial heating systems designed to rapidly and uniformly preheat thermoset molding compounds before compression, transfer, pultrusion, SMC, and BMC molding processes. Using high-frequency dielectric heating technology, the material generates heat internally rather than relying on conventional external heating methods such as conduction, convection, or radiant heat.

This allows resin compounds to reach the desired processing temperature more quickly and consistently, helping manufacturers improve production efficiency and product quality.

How the Technology Works

The technology works by applying a high-frequency electric field to non-conductive materials such as thermoset plastics. The alternating field causes molecular movement within the material, creating internal friction and generating heat throughout the entire mass of the resin.

Because the material heats from the inside out, Fuji RF Preheaters can significantly reduce molding cycle times, improve resin flow characteristics, minimize voids and air entrapment, reduce gas generation during molding, and enhance the physical and electrical properties of finished components.

These benefits make the equipment particularly valuable for manufacturers producing electrical components, semiconductor packaging, automotive parts, FRP products, melamine tableware, and other precision-molded products.

Why Choose Fuji RF Preheaters?

Fuji’s machines are engineered for safe operation, energy-efficient performance, precise temperature control, and reliable production repeatability. Available with multiple electrode configurations and optional infrared temperature monitoring systems, Fuji High Radiofrequency Preheaters can be customized to meet specific material, throughput, and process requirements while helping manufacturers achieve higher yields and lower operating costs.

Sales & Service

Fuji High Radiofrequency Preheaters - North and South America

Every relationship with K&D begins with a conversation. Whether you need replacement parts for an existing preheater or are considering a new system for your production line, our team is committed to providing responsive, knowledgeable support.

Spare Parts Support

For replacement parts, many customers already know the required component and part number. If not, we simply ask for a photo of the part along with a picture of the preheater's manufacturing plate, typically located on the lower right-front section of the unit. If additional identification is needed, we work directly with Fuji's engineering team to confirm the correct part number, pricing, and availability.

New Preheater Inquiries

Existing customers often contact us to add another preheater to their production line. In these cases, we provide current pricing information and estimated lead times, which are typically between five and six months for new equipment.

For first-time buyers, our process begins by learning about your application and production requirements. We may ask questions such as:

  • What material are you heating?
  • How many preforms need to be heated per cycle (shot size)?
  • How quickly do the preforms need to reach the desired temperature?
  • Can you provide photos of the application or production setup?

This information is shared with Fuji's engineering team, who evaluate the application and recommend the preheater model best suited to your process.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

While K&D does not currently provide on-site service or repair, we remain your primary point of contact for technical assistance. When service-related inquiries arise, we work directly with Fuji engineers to provide fault-tracing guidance and troubleshooting recommendations. This collaborative process has proven highly effective in helping customers quickly identify and resolve issues while minimizing production downtime.
